Kleintje - oh boy

How on earth can a female cat, that is supposed to be so ladylike,  get stuck up a tree and almost hang herself by her collar? Plus all in the space of a couple of minutes!

That’s Kleintje for you. I swear she should have been male. We had to leash her to stop her clambering over the fence, after she’s climbed the tree, that is. Well the other day somehow she’d managed to release herself from the pole, but was still attached to her collar and leash. Then, she’d somehow climbed the tree, got caught in the branches, and took a leap into next doors garden. All this while STILL attached. Next thing I know, the neighbour is trying desperately to untangle her, while I’m going frantic cause she’s gotton herself into such a muddle.

Before you say anything, I know it’s not wise to leave a cat leashed while unnattended, but I’d only stepped away for a few minutes.. and Kleintje decided to do such a stupid thing.

Arghhh, that cat drives me nuts!

Tomboy Kleintje

We have done everything possible to keep our three cats in our garden. Yet, Kleintje the wild one has found a way out.

She waits until we’re not looking and climbs the tree. It’s no ordinary tree either. It’s a fir tree. She clambers inside, scuffles her way up the middle, then when she’s nearing the top, she takes a giant leap onto the fence. Then, and this is the best bit, she just SITS there, watching us. You can almost hear her thinking ‘nana nanaaaaa na’

I know keeping cats in isn’t an easy job, if they wanna get out. But the grass isn’t always greener on the other side either. Our neighbours have a dog and Kleintje sits there while the dog barks, teasing him cause he can’t get to her. Now, while our neighbours are really nice folk, it’s going to drive them neighbours bonkers, and we haven’t lived here that long.

So, how far do we have to go to keep the cats in..  cut the tree down?

Argh
