Cat links

I’ve been looking around for some link exchanges to cat blogs, so if you stop by here and are interested just leave me a comment or email me. I need some furry friends for my furries. You could even send me a little photo if you like, and I’ll fit them in on my sidebar. I’ve already added a couple of links so if you are one of them - Nice to meet you and your kitties!

Dare I say it - Kleintje is STILL being good. I swear the neighbours have done something to their side of the fence cause she hasn’t gone near it for weeks. In fact my neighbour said to me the other day "Oh your cat hasn’t been over the fence for ages" I’m thinking hmmm, I wonder why. Kleintje always went over the fence, and I mean ALWAYS. We couldn’t keep her in, it was like as soon as the back door opened she scrambled up the tree and was gone. It’s a good thing I guess.. but it just makes me wonder.

Anyway I’ll leave you with a couple of pics from the last few days.

Cindy

It’s hard to catch Cindy unaware, but today I managed to do just that. Here she is, taking a breather under the table in the back garden. I’m going to miss this, the lazy summer days and the cats enjoying the afternoon warmth of the sun. Soon snow will cover the ground and the cats will be indoors for most of the day.

Sandy Posing

So, I took this picture today of Sandy in one of her cutey poses.

Other news - For some reason Kleintje has stopped climbing the tree. That’s either because next doors dogs bite is worse than his bark, or it’s just too freakin’ hot to climb trees.

Kleintje - oh boy

How on earth can a female cat, that is supposed to be so ladylike,  get stuck up a tree and almost hang herself by her collar? Plus all in the space of a couple of minutes!

That’s Kleintje for you. I swear she should have been male. We had to leash her to stop her clambering over the fence, after she’s climbed the tree, that is. Well the other day somehow she’d managed to release herself from the pole, but was still attached to her collar and leash. Then, she’d somehow climbed the tree, got caught in the branches, and took a leap into next doors garden. All this while STILL attached. Next thing I know, the neighbour is trying desperately to untangle her, while I’m going frantic cause she’s gotton herself into such a muddle.

Before you say anything, I know it’s not wise to leave a cat leashed while unnattended, but I’d only stepped away for a few minutes.. and Kleintje decided to do such a stupid thing.

Arghhh, that cat drives me nuts!

Tomboy Kleintje

We have done everything possible to keep our three cats in our garden. Yet, Kleintje the wild one has found a way out.

She waits until we’re not looking and climbs the tree. It’s no ordinary tree either. It’s a fir tree. She clambers inside, scuffles her way up the middle, then when she’s nearing the top, she takes a giant leap onto the fence. Then, and this is the best bit, she just SITS there, watching us. You can almost hear her thinking ‘nana nanaaaaa na’

I know keeping cats in isn’t an easy job, if they wanna get out. But the grass isn’t always greener on the other side either. Our neighbours have a dog and Kleintje sits there while the dog barks, teasing him cause he can’t get to her. Now, while our neighbours are really nice folk, it’s going to drive them neighbours bonkers, and we haven’t lived here that long.

So, how far do we have to go to keep the cats in..  cut the tree down?

Argh

Goodness me..

Our cats love to be outdoors. But until we moved to this house, they were indoor cats. They now have a large fenced garden, bushes and trees to hide under, and butterflies to chase. So why are our cats sat indoors right now?

Outside is freakin’ 36 C and getting hotter. It’s unbearable, even for cats that will NOT come indoors no matter what!

Kitty Blog

This is going to be my kitty blog, and I guess a few other things.

I have 3 cats each with their very own personality and they are all very much a BIG part of our family.

The eldest is the Queen, sticks her nose in the air and thinks she’s lady muck. The next one is a tomboy, races around, catching bugs, into everything.. you name it. The little one is dainty, with her soft purr and her even softer meow she’s just a sweety.

I’ll be posting pics too, so you can see just who is who..
